Instructions for Soothing Lotion Candles & Melts
Burning your candle
Trim the wick to 1/8inch to maintain an even and clean burn. Let it burn until a small pool of oil forms, approximately 5-10 minutes. Burning longer is a waste of the lotion.
This will produce more than enough oil for your skin either way, so you do not have to use it all at once. It will cool and reharden. Approximately 1-2 hours.
When burning the travel tins, we recommend that you place these on a candle dish or heat safe surface prior to lighting. Because they are shallow, do not burn for too long. Do not burn with cap on or use cap to extinguish flame.
Extinguish Flame
Blow out the candle. Test the temperature with your finger. It should be warm, not hot.
Use a spoon (do not dip down into the soft white wax, only use what has already liquefied), your fingers, or pour directly on skin.
Apply sparingly to dry areas or use as a massage oil. A little goes a long way. We recommend you avoid using it on your face or in any sensitive areas.
Always be sure that the wick is completely extinguished to prevent reignition.
Fragrance
For candles with fragrance, the added fragrance oil is skin-safe. Unscented candles have no fragrance oils added, however, they do have their own natural scent.
Instructions for Lotion Melts
Remove the melt from the container and place in an appropriate warming vessel.
Once a small pool has melted, turn off your burner and wait a few seconds for the vessel to cool. Use a wooden spoon or your fingers to retrieve the wax and apply the wax to your skin.
